Len Harfield Biography

A lifelong interest in art eventually led Len Harfield to watercolour painting in 1993. Since then he has embraced this medium with enthusiastic vigour. In due course Len developed an interest in oils and acrylics and now expresses his artistic talent in all three media with emphasis on watercolour.

Len makes his home in the beautiful Kawartha Lakes area near Bobcaygeon, Ontario where he is inspired by the nature around him. Many of his paintings reflect this interest. He also owns property on scenic Manitoulin Island and produces some of his finest works while vacationing there. Ragged rail fences, old farm buildings and northern waterscapes are some of his favourite topics. Len is equally comfortable painting delicate florals and magical street scenes, all with an abundance of light, colour, and strong values.
