Andrew Neil Olscher

Andrew Neil Olscher is a self taught professional Canadian artist and writer living near Lakefield, Ontario.  His bold thickly textured, acrylic paintings, photographs and digital prints have been shown and purchased by private and corporate collectors and galleries locally and internationally.

In a departure from the free flowing style of his canvasses and more in line with his detailed, digital prints, Andrew's photographs depict a variety of subjects with stunning clarity and detail, yet remain true to his artistic form and stylistic trademark of brilliant, saturated colour.  He has travelled extensively internationally to capture some of his spectacular images.

As Andrew says, "I love to search for details, whether they be in the more subtle nuance of the mingling of many colours in a vast expressionist canvas, or in the detail of tiny hairs on the back of a sunflower in a photograph".

Andrew's works have been presented in Toronto as a part of's "Group of Eleven", including noted Canadian artists Ken Danby and Berge Missakian.  He has also exhibited at the "Village of Hope" in association with the United Nation's conference on small island development in Barbados and at the Toronto International Art Festival 2001.  Over the past 10 years he has also exhibited in a variety of group shows which have included such noted artists as Michael Dumas, Brent Townsend, and Sir Peter Robson.
